"Hey, my name is Loren, I'm 7 years old and my birthday is on July 9th. When I grow up, I want to be a veterinarian. In my free time, I play with my Barbies, and what I like the most about school are the English classes because I learn new things from other countries.
For over two years, Manitoba has been funding Loren Sofia's education, providing her with the opportunity to receive high-quality bilingual education at a low cost, where she has been able to develop skills in science, technology, art, mathematics, and engineering through the STEAM methodology at Colegio La Fontaine, located in Siloé, Cali.
Through the Becas de Cambio program, Educambio seeks to reduce inequality gaps in Comuna 20 by providing access to quality education at a low cost. Manitoba and other companies in the region such as Comfandi, Colombina, and Unilever have been part of these initiatives that aim to strengthen the education of vulnerable communities in Valle del Cauca.
